Mayflower Beach 05-21-2023
This is the time of year when the weather changes. It morphs from the chills of winter to spring. This video shows provides a glimpse of what awaits. The tempreture rose the the high 70’s, and those that are native to this wonderful land begin to make their presence known by visiting beaches that have awaited their return. As summer approaches more and more will appear on the coast splashing in the waters. The laughter of children will once again restore the native land with memories of a long time ago, when you were young, splashing in the water, playing on the sand, and never wanting to leave.
Hardings Light – West Chatham
Hardings Light is a non-working light house bordering Stage Harbor and Hardings Beach in West Chatham. There is public parking and a great sandy road that lets you walk the circumference of the public land. The lighthouse, however, is privately owned. On the south side of the land mass is Nantucket Sound. The strip of land in the foreground is Monomoy Island that’s heavy population of Harbor Seals is where the Great White Sharks reside, and for this point up to the tip of Provincetown they can be spotted during the Summer.
Pleasant Bay
There are may ways to experience Pleasant Bay. Like with all of my videos I take them from public access areas. Now, it wouldn’t be fare of me to tell you exactly where locations are. For two reasons. The first is that I have a sense that if for some reason the location became a of popular interest, I would not be mindful of the fostering the integrity of this out of the way location, and secondly, it would be less of a journey of curiosity for you.

The Cape Cod National Seashore Park

After all this time I’ve come to realize this is not the reason I moved here in 1978, I moved here because of this precious environment, and this is why I love the Cape and knew form early childhood that this would be my home.
