The Marceline Arboretum in Harwich Center is the Cape’s only Registered Natural Species on Cape Cod. The Arboretum also provides another adventure for history lovers. The arboretum is located within the ground of The Island Pond Cemetery which was chatered in the 1688. You’ll find American Heros interned there from the Revolutionary war till today. The website is MarcelineArboretum.org. If you’re staying in this area, and you have a trip to Nantucket in mind, then the Freedom Ferry will bring you there without having to head to Hyannis. The pace begins to slow down a bit when you reach this part of the Cape.
