The town of Orleans is surrounded by water on the north and south coastlines. Skaket is on the north, Cape Cod Bay facing side, and is a great beach with lots of sand for a variety of beach games, and peace of mind that the little ones have tons of space to explore, without getting into too much trouble. The beach has lifeguards on duty in the summer months with a snack bar, and changing rooms. Skaket has limited parking so get there early. One of the traditions that have long endured here on the Cape is Cape Cod Baseball. There are towns located throughout the Cape that have become the breeding grounds players that have become hall of fame players in Major League Baseball. So pack up a chair, or unfold your blanket and enjoy a great family orientated environment. Admission to the game is free, however, get there early to get parking and a good location to watch
